Moayed Abu Ammouna is an artist living and working in Gaza. He holds a bachelor’s degree in media, with a focus on radio and television, from Al-Aqsa University, Palestine. The scope of his work spans multiple fields, but is centered around filmmaking, photography and experimental visual storytelling. Through his work, he tries to bring attention to the struggles he has gone through and continues to face in both his life and the lives of post-Nakba generations, often exploring notions of land, its indigenous peoples, and their uprooting; social traumas under colonialism; movement through collective memories; and systems of shaping the future. He has worked on the production of several creative art projects that have been exhibited in art galleries, museums, and film festivals locally and around the world.
