Rogena Tarek is an Egyptian filmmaker born in Alexandria. She studied media arts at Pharos University in Alexandria. Her films include Where's My Home! (2019), showcased at Visions Cairo 2020; She Doesn't Sleep (2021); and The Suitcase (2020), awarded Best Short at the SWIFF Film Festival in New Jersey (2023) and screened at the Alexandria Short Film Festival. Rogena edited No Land in Sight as part of the AFAC x Netflix Women in Film Program. Her current project, Green Island Girls, received The Factory Award at the Luxor African Film Festival in 2025.
