Myriam El Hajj is a filmmaker who was born in Lebanon and pursued her studies in cinema and theater at the University of Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis. Her first film, Trêve, produced by Abbout Productions, was broadcast on France 3 Corse and premiered at the Visions du Réel-Nyon Festival. Her second documentary feature, Diaries from Lebanon (2024), premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival. Myriam teaches cinema at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts and regularly lectures at La Fémis. Myriam is a founding member of the association Rawiyat-Sisters in Film, which supports women filmmakers in the Arab world and the diaspora, and has been a reader for five years in several cinema funding committees.
