Theo Panagopoulos

Theo Panagopoulos is a Greek-Lebanese-Palestinian filmmaker, film programmer and PhD researcher based in Scotland. His films explore themes of collective memory, displacement, fragmented identities and archives. He has directed multiple short films that were screened at festivals internationally, including Sundance, IDFA, True/False, Slamdance, Doc Lisboa, London Short Film Festival, Hot Docs and Thessaloniki. His most recent work is a short documentary film titled The Flowers Stand Silently, Witnessing (2024) that won the Best Short Film at IDFA, the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance and was nominated for a BAFTA award.
