Zakaria Ibrahimi is a lecturer in sociology and anthropology at Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech. He is a founding member of the Awal Center for Contemporary Studies and Research, a member of the Environmental Studies and Social Dynamics Lab and a coordinator of the Social Sciences and Human Rights research program at the Preparedness Center for Studies and Research. He is also a fellow at the Arab Reform Initiative and serves as a peer-reviewer for Omran and Rivages journals and the Encyclopedia Arabica for Arab Knowledge. His research interests include marginalization, exclusion and social inequality and academic freedom.
