Stereo for Contemporary Art

Palestine
Stereo for Contemporary Art is a group working on performance arts, in particular contemporary hip hop. It was founded in 2014 by breakdancers in Nablus. The group seeks to develop the performance art scene in Palestine and especially in the north of the West Bank where they started and where a large number of young people are interested in the circus, theater, music and dance. The group’s ambition is to convey Palestinian reality by fusing these arts to produce works and organize activities that range from staging shows and musicals and organizing hip hop and breakdance workshops in Palestinian refugee camps. The group believes that these arts offer a space for creative expression to these  marginalized communities.
