The collective behind this cooperative came together following the Beirut port explosion. Its first act was an open letter signed by 200 film professionals expressing the collective's concerns regarding the future of the cinema sector. One of the reasons that pushed the collective to start the cooperative is the feeling that we are on the brink of losing the know-how that the cinema sector had accumulated over the past 20 years.
