Omaima Sobhi is a fulltime mother to two children and a half-time writer, editor, and translator. She has been a literary editor at Al-Ain publishing since April 2019. She has published a story collection titled Visions of the Holy City in 2018, as well as several translations such as Nickel Boys (2019) and Hotel World (2021). Umaima received the Sawiris literary award in 2022.
