Basheer Amin is a Kurdish writer and scriptwriter from Syria who lives in Montreal. He studied history at the University of British Columbia. He is currently contributing to the writers’ room at the Canadian drama Transplant, which won the 2021 Best Dramatic Series at the Canadian Screen Awards . Bashir has made several short films including Freedom has a Price (2020) and Manees: Every Past is a Torn Charter (2023).
