Nicolas Fattouh

Nicolas Fattouh was born in 1994 in Monsef, north Lebanon. At the age of twelve, he started exhibiting his paintings and sculptures in different countries: USA (Santa Ana), Lebanon (Beirut, Jbeil), UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi), Saudi Arabia (Jeddah), Italy (Milano), France(Paris), England (London), Oman (Muscat), South Africa (Johannesburg), Belgium (Bruges),  USA (Miami , New York), Morroco (Aghadir)  ...  In 2009 he won the Kulturzentum 4th prize in painting, the mission Culturelle Francaise 1st prize in photography in 2012, and the A message to peace 1st prize in sculpture in 2013.  In 2012, he began studying animation, before graduating in 2015 from the Academie Libanaise des Beaux Arts, first of his class with his short animation 'Le voleur de casseroles'. The film went on to win the Best Animation award at the festival ZUMEFF in Abu Dhabi, and it was screened at several national and international film festivals. His project 'How My Grandmother Became a Chair' was awarded at the Arab Animation Forum (Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film, 2017), and won the Robert Bosch Stiftung prize in 2018.  He was later that year selected as a speaker in TED X (sciences Po) in Menton (France)...
