Merieme Addou is a Moroccan filmmaker. She holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Mohammed V University and a master’s degree in documentary film from the University of Tetouan. She started working in the film industry as a freelance producer for several media outlets, such as BBC World, CNN, Time Magazine and Bloomberg. Her documentary work includes Pirates of Salé (2014), which she co-directed with Rosa Rogers, and her latest project Suspended Wives (2021), which premiered at DOK.fest Munich and was featured at the Malmö Arab Film Festival.
