Liana Badr is an independent writer, novelist, & Filmmaker.  Born in Jerusalem .   She  have   M .A  Contemporary  Arabic Studies .        Worked as a journalist and cultural editor .worked also as     General   Director -  Consultant  for the film Archive . Ramallah. Palestinian  Ministry of  Culture.  2004 - 20012.  General Director of Arts – Ramallah - Palestinian Ministry of Culture 1995- 2004 .  Have  5  novels  and  4  collected t  stories  and three collected  poetry collections  and two research  books  about  Fadwa Touqan  and Mahmoud Darwish.   12 children books.  Many of her novels and stories were translated to several languages (English, French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Bulgarian, Norwegian,  etc.).    Films ( written and Directed by Liana Badr ) many won awards and  international homage .      1- Fadwa :   A Tale of  a Palestinian Poetess - 52 min  -- 1999.   2- Zeitounat - 37 min -- 2000.   3- The Green Bird.37 min –2002.  4-Siege ( A Writer's Diary).33 min.2003 .   5--The Gates are Open.
