Taghrid Choucair Vizoso

Taghrid Choucair-Vizoso is a director, producer, and performer. She studied Theatre at Goldsmiths, University of London (2009) before pursuing an MA in Advanced Theatre Practice - Performance at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (2010). Since then, she has been developing intercultural and cross-cultural work with performance artists and theatre-makers in the Middle East and the UK. She is co-founder and co-director of At Home in Gaza and London, an original collaborative digital performance project in which artists and audiences in the two cities interact in real time (Artsadmin, BAC, The Everyman - UK, Al Meshal and El Wedad Theatres – Gaza). As an associate artist with Kazzum, she leads and delivers engagement programmes with young people who have recently arrived to the UK and are going through the asylum-seeking process. She produced and co-programmed the 2018 AWAN – Arab Women Artists Now Festival in London. In the summer of 2018, Taghrid joined Shubbak Festival as Programme and Engagement Producer.
