Land Line is a novel about Fairuz, a 45-year old woman, who is lonely after her husband develops a mental illness and her daughter emigrates to Norway with her new husband. In an attempt to overcome her loneliness, Fairuz takes a job at a skin clinic. When her employer suddenly passes away, Fairuz continues to reply to her boss’s emails.
