Manual of Printing and Typesetting for Modern Arab Books is a guidebook on structures and dimensions for printing and typesetting in Arabic for contemporary Arab authors. In this concise study, renamed "Inner structures: The 20th Century Printed Arabic Book", the focus was on the printed 20th-21st century Arabic books and publications as a means for examining and highlighting design trends specific to geographical regions and/or historical periods. Through presenting the "inner structures" or articulation of book design elements (ie typographic elements, page architecture , typesetting conventions), the relationships between the macro overall design and the micro details is made visually clear through a visual narrative of juxtapositions. The book is to serve as source of inspiration and information to Arab book and publication designers.
