After being sentenced to 12 years in prison, the Palestinian topographer Ibrahim finally comes back to his wife and son. While society celebrates him as a hero who carries the grief of a nation, he and his family have to cope with the fact that he has become a broken distrusting man, whose only chance of happiness lies in a restart.
