Camille Sarfati is a curator, writer, and educator based in Tunis, currently a resident at the Villa Medici. Her practice involves writing, curation, education, and community organizing, with a particular interest in ritual as a space for political struggle in contemporary artistic and activist practices across the Afro-Asian continents and their diasporas. Camille is the co-founder of the Tunisian collective Nessij, which aims to encourage the circulation of artists and to strengthen ties between art scenes, particularly within the Global South. Previously, she was the director of the 32bis art center in Tunis and has overseen numerous publications, exhibitions, and public programs. She has collaborated with various institutions, including the Villa Medici and Zalib (Rome), the Jaou Tunis festival, the Selebe Yoon (Dakar), the Palais des Papes (Avignon), Le 18 (Marrakech), and The Minority Globe (Tiznit).
