Nidal Al Dibs is a Syrian film director and scriptwriter. He graduated from the Moscow film institute VGIK with a MA in film directing in 1995. 

He has directed two documentaries, Black Stone (2009) and Homemade Stories (2021) — the latter of which was nominated for the IDFA Envision Competition — as well as two feature fiction films, Under the Ceiling (2006) and Taming (2010), and one short fiction film Ya Leil Ya Ein (1999).

Nidal is also a film trainer. Between 2007 and 2011, he taught film at the High Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus. He has also served as a jury member for Arab and international film festivals and film grants schemes.
