Raed Yassin is a multidisciplinary artist and musician based between Berlin and Beirut. His practice spans sound, performance, video, installation, photography and text, often drawing on personal and collective histories to explore themes such as memory, loss, consumer culture and the archive.

Rooted in conceptual and experimental approaches, Raed’s work challenges the boundaries between live and recorded sound, improvisation and composition, documentation and invention, narrative and abstraction and sound and image. His style as a musician is marked by his use of double bass, electronics and turntables, his use of sampling and collage and the recontextualization of popular and folk music.
