Kais Zaied is the co-founder of CinéMadart, an art-house movie-theater in Carthage and a member of the International Confederation of Arthouse Cinemas and The Network of Arab Alternative Screens. He is a co-founder of Hakka Distribution, a distribution company for independent cinema. Kais is also a founding member of Association ECHOS cinématographiques, which specializes in the dissemination of film culture in schools and alternative environments. He has directed four short films. He was the director of the European Film Days in 2013 and was also a member of the organizing committee of Carthage Film Festival in 2010 and 2014. He has been a jury member in several film festivals, including for the art cinema award at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival and the 2021 Festival du Cinéma Italien d'Annecy.
