Nadine Salib is an Egyptian filmmaker with more than 16 years of experience in the field of cinema and film studies. She began her career as an assistant director and has since collaborated on various feature films and shorts. In 2012, she made her directorial debut with her short documentary Fagr (Dawn). In 2014, she released her first feature-length documentary, Um Ghayeb (Mother of the Unborn), which she wrote, directed, and produced. The film took home the Peter Wintonick Special Jury Award for the First Appearance competition at IDFA and the FIPRESCI for Best Documentary at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival. In 2015, she started working as a film professor in several educational institutes, including the RITCS in Belgium, Action for Hope in Lebanon, the Jesuit Cairo Film School, and the British University in Egypt. Her work-in-progress debut feature length fiction film The Land Beyond has been awarded several development grants.
