Ahmed Nagy is a novelist, journalist and documentary filmmaker. Born in Mansoura in 1985, he currently resides in Las Vegas. Nagy has published four novels : Rogers (2007), The Use Of Life (2014), Tigers To My Room (2020) and Happy Endings (2023). He has also published a collection of his writing in prison in 2020 under the title Rotten Evidence: Diary of Reading and Writing in Prison and a number of short stories. His literary works, as well as his cultural and journalistic writing,  have been translated into several languages. He won the Dubai Press Club Arab Journalism Award in 2011 for best culture article and the American PEN/Barbey Freedom to Write Award in 2016. Nagy is now studying to receive his masters in creative writing from the  University of Nevada.
