A Jordanian poet, writer and translator. He has worked as Director of the Jerash Festival of Culture and the Arts from 2001 to 2006 and served as Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture and then Minister of Culture. Jeryes studied English Literature, philosophy and communication art in the U.S.A and Jordan. He wrote in several Arabic newspapers and magazines. Some of his poems were translated into English, French and Italian languages.
