Rania Berro has over 20 years of experience in international relations and civil society engagement, specializing in the MENA region. She holds an MA in Comparative Politics and a PhD in Political Sociology from Denis-Diderot Paris 7 University.
From 2016 to 2021, Rania was Senior Program Officer at the Open Society Foundations (OSF) MENA, where she managed portfolios related to policy, advocacy, and transnational activism. She has also worked as Policy Officer and UNESCO Coordinator at the League of Arab States in Paris and as Coordination Officer for Lebanon’s Ministry of Culture. Rania has consulted on human rights for INGOs and UN agencies including IOM, OHCHR, and UNFPA, in France, Switzerland and Tunisia.
