The director’s father, Ibrahim AlAbed, was a member of the “Revolutionary Council” (also known as Abu-Nidal Organisation), a secret militant entity known for its notorious intelligence affairs. In 1987, she was 6 years old when her father left for a short mission. But he never came back. She grew up in a house where silence was the general atmosphere. Her mother, Najat Ali, carried on with her life as if nothing had happened, raising her five children in Damascus.
The film deals with the story behind the disappearance of the director’s father, a subject that was never discussed in her family. Through this project, she hopes to understand her father’s choices, which would help her figure out how that has influenced her own choices today.

In 1987, Ibrahim left his home in Syria for few days on a regular mission, but never came back. The film is a quest to collect the Father’s traces.
