The year-long special program AFAC Express closed on August 12th 2012. The program was initiated to provide timely financial support for artists and young institutions that are actively engaged within their communities and expanding their activities in response to the new realities facing the region.
The program has supported projects including animation, dance, theatre, music, documentary films and audio-visual installations, all of which address issues previously considered taboo, including human rights, corruption, and freedom of artistic and political expression. A total of 33 projects have so far been awarded and the last of the grant’s recipients will be announced soon.
AFAC is currently receiving applications for its annual general call in the following three categories: Cinema, Music and RTR.
