AFAC launches the third cycle of the AFAC Documentary Program (ADP) with the support of Ford Foundation’s JustFilms program. Call for applications is open from February 1st to May 1st, 2015.
ADP is a special program that funds and supports creative documentary projects from the Arab region. It runs for a period of three-years and welcomes, on an annual basis, feature-length, medium-length and short documentary projects, in production and post-production, that address the social realities in the Arab region in creative and compelling ways.
Around 15 documentary projects will be supported in this cycle of the ADP program with a maximum grant amount of $50,000 per film. The selected projects will be given both financial as well as professional support by advisors and experts. Winning projects will benefit from networking opportunities that bring their directors and producers into the market, the circuit of international film festivals as well as other fellow filmmakers and industry professionals.
The first cycle of ADP supported 11 projects from 7 Arab countries, the second cycle in 2014 supported a total of 10 projects hailing from 7 Arab countries.
