“The Kufiya” tells the story of Mo and Sami, two queer men who meet on the night of the Maspero massacre during the Egyptian revolution. Injury and circumstance bring them together by force. They are soon bound by a complicated love affair as gay and civic life in Cairo falls apart between 2011 and 2017.
