Diaries of a Poet at Law School and Other Stupidities

This project is a book of prose and poetry about the daily experiences of a Syrian poetess and doctoral Law student residing in France. It is an attempt at making the day-to-day poetic and the poetic day-to-day between two apparently contradictory threads: poetry and law. Amplifying the tunes of affinity/repulsion between the two disciplines are the elements of alienation, war, identity, the absurdity of death coupled with the harshness of a materialistic society that neither embraces nor understands the writing process with its requirements and whims, its fragility and power.
