France Televisions (France 2, France 5, France Info, France Inter) and Radio France will be airing live tonight, October 1, 2020, a fundraising concert titled “Unis pour le Liban” (“United for Lebanon”), in an active effort to mobilize funds for those affected by the August 4 Beirut port blast.
Proceeds of this fundraiser will be channeled via the French Red Cross to the Lebanese Red Cross as well as Culture Resource’s and AFAC’s joint support initiative, the Lebanon Solidarity Fund. Contributions are made possible through the following channels:
- via internet, by visiting croix-rouge.fr
- via SMS, by sending the word LIBAN to 92 200 for a donation of 5€ (from France only)
- via cheque to the order of: “Urgence Beyrouth 2020” – Croix-Rouge française – CS 20011 – 59895 Lille cedex 9
The concert, curated by Lebanese musician Ibrahim Maalouf, will feature a panoply of performances by international artists, and will be transmitted live from the Olympia hall in Paris.
